I bought a modem, used, I plugged the plug and heated it will not work now?
I bought it but still didn't have DSL service, I plugged it in once and the lights on, now that I have, I plugged it dsl and that the plug-in transformer heated and the modem off, anyone know what could be the reason? m1000 is a Qwest Actiontec.
If the power adapter (transformer) gets hot, it might be defective or does not match the AC voltage or the requirement of the modem. Modem can still be ok, but adapter may be dead.
