Can you connect Xbox Live with a Westell modem?
I bought a Westell 6100 DSL Modem Wirespeed Liteline … model number: E90-610015-06 and I wondered if I could connect to Xbox Live. i have connected before with a Westell router model different from a number C90-610030-06 and when I plugged that I used an ethernet cable in the xbox and the other side went into the modem and dsl cord red went out into a filter that separates as dsl phone dsl and then into the wall of my room. I was wondering if I could do the same thing with a Westell Wirespeed Liteline DSL Modem 6100 or would it have a different configuration or could it slow because it was not a phone line and dsl ..
To ALL DSL modem to work, you must have an ADSL line! If you have DSL service, you can use a modem, but only one per line! If you have only a phone line, you must subscribe to DSL service from an ISP. If you already have DSL service, you must replace or disconnect your current modem and replaced by The New one! You can use any phone outlet inside the house, they will all have the "signal" for but the ADSL line filters are used to keep the phones off the DSL signal.
